My Students

We are hard-working 3rd graders that attend a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Academy in Arizona with a focus on preparing students to be successful in their future careers. We believe that technology is part of the building blocks for our future. We like to engage in rigorous activities that support our academic and social learning. My class encompasses students from those with special needs to those that qualify as gifted. We talk a lot about each student being unique and learning/growing at different levels.

These Chromebooks will help students feel successful with programs that focus on skills at their level.

We have 25 students in our class and we need more Chromebooks to add to the 6 we have right now. These Chromebooks are touchscreen so students can be more interactive. The keyboard aspect is great as students test online and need to be able to type! The websites we want to use are Prodigy and Moby Max that differentiates their math/reading activities based on their skill level. Having 12 Chromebooks lets at least half my students at a time to use technology to differentiate their learning.

My Project

These Chromebooks will help my students use technology so they can access resources online. They can research online and use websites that assess students at their level.

My students take assessments online and therefore need more technology.

I only have 6 computers with 27 students that cycle through the computers during assessments. Having just 2 more will help more students be on a computer at one time.

My students also access websites that track their skill level and differentiates their practice/instruction. My students love these interactive games and are improving their skills each time they go on. With more computers, more students can work on increasing their skill level.
