Computers for Connection: Empowering Students in the Safety Room

Help me give my students the tools to check grades, apply for jobs, and access resources—turning our Safety Room into a vital support hub for families.

My Project

What I love most about my students is their resilience and desire to succeed, even when faced with challenges outside the classroom. Many come from families working hard to support them with limited resources.

By providing computers in our Safety Room, we give students the tools to stay involved in their education—checking grades, accessing school updates, and finding jobs or assistance programs.

When students are supported and connected, they feel more secure and focused, which directly impacts their ability to learn, thrive, and reach their full potential.

At our school, our Safety Room serves as a supportive space for both students and families. However, we currently have no computers available for students to check their academic progress, access important school information, or apply for jobs and vital community resources.

We are requesting two computers through DonorsChoose to help bridge this gap. These computers will empower our students by providing a reliable way to stay engaged in their education and pursue opportunities that strengthen their household stability. With your support, we can turn the Safety Room into a true resource hub for the students.
