Computers Create Great Learners!

My students need 5 Chromebook computers for collaboration and developing 21st Century skills.

My Students

My goal for my students is for them to use their unique intelligences, cultural backgrounds and personal experiences to motivate and influence their learning experiences.

My 4th and 5th graders consist of a lively bunch of students who come from a culturally diverse population.

Each student brings a wide range of valuable skills, experiences and learning styles. I enjoy their excitement and curiosity about learning. My students are from an urban public school and are valuable members that create a caring community with their peers, teachers and staff.

My Project

Because my students have a wide range of learning styles, having access to computers in the classroom will allow them to extend learning outside the textbook and provide them valuable life skills that will extend into higher education and future careers. Throughout the school year, my students will use the computers to publish their work from Writer's Workshop, practice math skills through educational games, research topics for projects/papers, and use applications from the Google Play Store for additional practice on concepts taught in class. My 4th/5th graders will be completing several research projects and having the computers will serve as a research tool in addition to the nonfiction books used for the projects.

Computers in my classroom will add another way to differentiate learning.

My students will be able to research topics/subjects that inspire them and develop critical skills required for a world full of technology.
