My Students

My students love using technology and seem more motivated to participate when given the opportunity to use it.

Beginning at an early age, my first grade students will have the opportunity to increase their media/technology skills.

The majority of my students come from impoverished backgrounds. Our school is designated as a Title I (100% free/reduced price lunch), and the majority of our students do not have the advantage of having computers/tablets in their homes. Introducing them to up-to-date technology will enable them to not only boost their reading and math skills, but enhance their knowledge of technology.

My Project

With the requested tablets, I will be able to access a multitude of educational websites (applications) which will help increase the students' math and reading skills. These tablets will be placed in a learning center which can be used individually. I am trying my best to give these students the advantage and knowledge of using technology daily. These tablets will open up a world of learning which will excite and motivate their young minds.

My project is so important because it will help expose new Math, Language and Reading skills to low-income students.

I want my students to continue to compete as technology and assessments change. My students LOVE technology and thrive when given opportunities to use technology as a learning tool.
