This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My Pre-K students are eager to learn, especially when it comes to technology. Having a MacBook Pro would help my students learn how to use a Mac while at the same time have fun learning!
My Pre-K class is comprised of 36 students.
It is split into a morning class and an afternoon class. Our school is a Title I school, and most of my students live in a low income area and the majority of them in non-English speaking households. They are all very eager to learn and at this age love school!
My Project
Having a MacBook Pro in the classroom would put my Pre-K students at an advantage. They would be able to learn and practice how to operate the keyboard and mouse and at the same time play with educational software that would re-enforce reading and number skills. Having a Mac Book Pro would prepare my
Pre-K students for future computer use, increase self-confidence, and boost their problem solving skills.
I would love for my Pre-K students to have a MacBook Pro to learn computer skills!
Having this learning tool in the classroom would be a great asset. Technology is all around them in the real world. Having this piece of technology would really be beneficial to my students!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
