Computer Science: Python Coding Support

My Project

As a dedicated high school educator, I'm trying to elevate the learning experience for my budding programmers. In this technology-driven era, teaching students coding skills Python has become an essential part of their learning experience. However, current constraints force my students to use their personal smartphones in class to airplay to our TV in order to code collaboratively with their peers. Many of my students do not have phones and it creates an inequity in class that I work hard to avoid.

To overcome this challenge and enhance the quality of my computer science education, I'm seeking your generous support to sponsor the purchase of 3 iPad Pros.

This would offer all students to grab one and share their code for class-wide feedback. It would also enhance visibility for the entire class. As an educator though, my primary goal is to provide a collaborative learning environment where students can easily share their work.

Your sponsorship will not only empower my students with state-of-the-art technology. It will help me to get closer to my goal of motivating as many of my mainly lower income students to consider technology majors after high school; which in turn would offer them and their families significant social mobility. I am particularly focused on encouraging my female students to break with the traditional social stereotyping, and pursue STEM careers.

I can't express how much the insanely generous support from the donors choose community has, and can continue to, impact equitable access and potential opportunity for all of my students.
