My Students
In our first grade classroom, we have explorers, inventors, and engineers as students. Only at the age of 6 but with a spirit that is excited to learn and grow in the world of coding and technology.
Computer science has become an important and fundamental as reading, and our dream is to expose our children to the opportunity to be future computer science majors in their future.
Our goal is not only to have hands-on experience with this but to become engaged in the building blocks of it as well.
My Project
These dash and dot robots will help our classroom by helping students explore the world of coding and robotics.
This will also give an opportunity to my students with special needs an opportunity to create, learn, and master computer science amongst their peers.
There is no reading level that is required to understand computer science because even though the language may be more high order, the visual cues and pictures are great tools for students with special needs to implement
Each tool (mouse, unplugged games, and robotics) will be implemented in stations so that the students will have a hands-on approach to learning, using the language of coding.
