My Students

I provide services to all the students in the building from Pre-k to 5th Grade. When students come in, they have access to very old computers. I still have at 12 computers in my room are over 21 years old. Due to the personal care given by myself, even tech support is amazed they function past their life span.

The students that I teach attend a Title I school.

Most of the students are receiving free and reduced price lunches. Many students do not have access to technology at home. We would love to be able to provide 21st century technology for each child that enters the lab. However I have at least 12 desktop computers that are so outdated. These computers may run very slow, freeze anytime and our system will no longer provide service for any of these computers due to the outdated age of the computers. We've managed to purchase a few hard drives and continue to use our old monitors to save money. Funds are very limited and there is not enough funds to purchase technology. We're in desperate need of any support we can get and it would be so appreciated by our students and staff alike. Our students are so excited to come to the computer lab during their resource periods and their so willing to learn! I really would love to provide the best experience for every child using technology!

My Project

Students utilize educational and school system based websites to enhance, learn and provide skills needed to excel. Upper grades also use computers to research projects and other usage such as typing reports, and system wide testing on line for specific grade levels. Our primary age students use online educational websites, (Starfall, Abcya/Abckids etc.). We want to be able to provide technology for each student not only to increase their knowledge academically, but knowledge of 21st century in technology as well. My students need 2 computer (Hard Drives) to have a completely up and running computer lab.

Your support in this endeavor will improve and bring our lab up to date for students who need to be able to use computers that will provide access to web and windows that our old computers don't have a capacity to do because of their age.

Computers freeze, they are too slow or just stop working. I love to teach and watch our children learn through technology and get excited when they succeed! We would love your support!
