This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The computer lab where I serve K-5 students is a place where they can extend their thinking and problem solving skills. It is a fun place to work, but is can also be challenging for some students. At times, students become frustrated with when trying to figure things out. It's ok...it happens to the best of us. But when a student feels overwhelmed, I would like for them to have a special place in the room to take a moment to decompress or calm down before returning to their task.

I would like to give my students a calming space they can go to when they are dealing with big emotions.

By contributing to our project you are promoting self care, mental wellness and a sense of agency for young people.
