Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a music teacher in a Title I school. The grades include 6th through 8th grade.
My music students are currently in need of a computer for the music classroom. The students here have recently begun an interest in music composing using technology. I have purchased Sibelius, a music notation program, from my own pocket. All we need now is a computer to install the software and begin composing. We presently have a keyboard lab that requires composition activities using computers. The donation will really help out our composition component with the keyboard lab.
A computer would allow more students to compose and complete their music assignments quicker. They would also learn about greater music composition technology associated with today's music industry. Students will also have the opportunity to learn more composition techniques necessary for a superb musical composition.
The music classroom seems to be the class that doesn't get the materials it fully needs since many feel it's not a credible academic area. Your donation will help my students benefit from a full music education.
