it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students that my DonorsChoose project will benefit are from a low-income, Title I school. They may not have a lot, but they deserve the best just like any other child. This year, the district made our school supplies list and left some essentials for an elementary classroom off the list. My students are deserving of new experiences and opportunities they would otherwise not have. Therefore, I would like to make their learning more bright and healthy through my request from this project.
My Project
All of our students learn how to use computers at some point in their lives. Our class is now one to one with laptops, but storing and charging them have been a nightmare! There are 20 cords and laptops spread all around the rooms outlets to charge daily. A laptop charging cart will provide the opportunity for the kids to have quick and easy transitions in the classroom. My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work and not having to sit next to a wall will greatly benefit their learning.
