My Project
Our school health office is a safe space that students can visit for physical and emotional support. We have seen an increase in anxiety and stress due to Covid. Having supplies available to help calm our students down- to comfort and care for them is pivotal to having a successful school nurse's office. We treat each student as an important individual with unique needs. So often students have anxiety and stress that manifests as illness and we can offer them support to help them stay in school. With covid protocols we often have children in the health office for extended time and being able to help them feel cared for is so important.
