My Project
I used to order composition books for my students so they had something to journal in. But I noticed that most of the pages were blank and ended up being wasted. Then the price went up well over $2 apiece. Then I had an idea:
Let's replace composition books with 3x5" index cards and make it easier for me to grade them with a storage box.
Every card gets used, so there is no wasted paper. 3x5 is large enough to write a few lines on, or any other typical warmup task. They also don't get 'left at home' or have to be stored in my classroom in a book case where they might get taken by another student. The cases will be used for each of the six classes I will teach.
