Composing Our Own Musical Learning!

Help me give my students whiteboards for building music literacy, and cardstock to create our own musical passports!

My Project

Learning how to read and write music takes a lot of practice! Utilizing white boards for this process makes that practice faster and gentler (not to mention more eco-conscious) than traditional paper and pencil. It's easy to create, and also easy to edit mistakes, with whiteboards and markers, which lets us do a great deal of learning with minimal waste of time or supplies. And it's fun!

The brightly colored cardstock will become the covers of many musical "passports" this year, documenting what we see and hear as we listen to and watch performances from other cultures and countries.

We create our passports and take them home when they are full!

With your help, we will listen, read, and write in a variety of ways during music this year. Thank you for helping us build our observation skills, knowledge, and confidence!
