Composing for the Future II - iPads for Music Students!

Help me give my students iPads for composing. They love composing original music.

My Students

My students are a diverse group. The music department offers band, orchestra, choir, music theory, guitar, piano, music technology, and history of rock because we want to reach all students.

My students love learning about music and composition.

They love creating music for their friends and family, and they love creating music for themselves. In today's high-pressure world, students need to be able to express themselves. Composing on iPads is the perfect, and most accessible way to accomplish that goal.

My Project

iPads will help my students create original music. Using Garage band, my students can create original compositions to share with the world! The great thing about Garage Band is that you can compose no matter how talented you are. There is something for everyone!

The best part about composing on iPads is that Garage Band is widely accessible and available, so students can compose at home and at school, and they can compose for any instrument or voice.

It's a really cool use of this technology!

We have applied for several grants to match this project as well! We're hoping for a set of 20 iPads and a cart to house them.
