Help me give my students a complete set of ukuleles to be used in the music classroom and in future musical performances. We appreciate your assistance in helping get new instruments for our students.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school needs new instruments in the music classroom as our stringed instruments are all in disrepair. I want to start with ukuleles. Twenty-five total would be enough for the largest music class.
The ukuleles will be used in the music room and for future performances.
A ukulele is a very accessible stringed instrument for young people. The instrument is small with only four strings so chords are easily made. The curriculum I use will have the students playing songs quickly so their sense of success will further excite them to continue playing the ukulele.
It is my goal to build a wider variety of stringed and wind instruments for my music students. The ukuleles are a good starter instrument. Because the instrument is accessible for young people, we can perform with them by the end of the school year.
