This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am an early childhood teacher, currently in a Pre-K classroom for the school year 2020-2021. I have a class of 20 students, primarily composed of English Language Learners. We are a Title I school which means that 90% of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch.
I want to provide my students with the best experience possible in our classroom.
I am in need of adequate materials that will help motivate my students to be successful in and out of the classroom. With your help, I can ensure that my students are receiving the best possible education available to them.
My Project
The materials selected will give my students the opportunity to have updated appropriate things around the class. The bookshelf is an appropriate size where the students can reach books themselves, they will be able to have a pretend dinner with their friends using the pots and pans and the table set. The connecting blocks will be used to complete our blocks and building center.
Learning centers are essential in a Pre-K classroom; they learn best through play at this age.
The materials in this project will help me help my students learn to their fullest potential. Each center the children visit gives them the opportunity to learn new things in a new way every time.
