Compelling Memoirs for Philadelphia Students

My Project

I have taught almost all the students that will read these books before when they were in 9th grade, and I'm so excited to see how they've grown when I teach them again this year in 11th grade. These memoirs will help us study the art of memoir in very different contexts, and will help students prepare to craft their own short memoirs. Eleventh grade is the perfect time for this, as it is a time when many students are reflecting on their identity and considering what will come next.

Please help me give my students diverse and compelling memoirs to read and explore!
