Compassion Project: Growing Green Part 2

My Project

Students learn through their experiences and hands-on activities. So why not give them more opportunities to do so using engaging science activities with project-based learning and compassion. My students are waiting to have that opportunity!

The purpose of "Compassion Project: Growing Green" is to provide an innovative, learning experience to help elicit excitement in science and to enhance the compassion of others through project-based learning.

The “Compassion Project: Growing Green" is designed to bring unique educational experiences consisting of hands-on, interactive activities as the students focus on various scientific concepts such as life cycle, hydroponic growing. "Compassion Project: Growing Green" allows students the opportunity to connect with families in need by sharing the grown vegetables and herbs that they grow in the classroom. By doing so, the students will develop compassion for others and begin to see the world through the eyes' of others that are in need. The grown vegetables and herbs will help alleviate any suffering and financial issues for families that are looking for healthy food choice options that can tend to be more expensive.

The donations will provide my students with activities and experiments that will help make real-life connections, compassion to others in need, and enhance project-based learning. The hydroponic growing kit will allow my students to view the life cycle of plants as well as compare how different plants grow. The hydroponic growing kit will also teach the children about making healthy food choices which they will share with families in need.
