Help me give my students access to hands-on STEM materials, to enrich their learning experience.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Diaz's classroom raised $555

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are fascinated and excited to learn about how things work. They are passionate about researching new ideas and learning about recent discoveries in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. As a Title 1 public school, the funding for classroom research projects, is not available to my students.
Every morning, more than 10 busses bring my students to school from all parts of Los Angeles.
They are a diverse group of learners ranging from special education, second language learners, and some gifted learners.
My Project
The STEM materials will allow my students access to explore the exciting world of STEM. For instance, the seed germination kit will provide children the opportunity to document and watch the growth cycle of plants. The hands-on experiences will propel their learning and interactive exploration. Also, Students will be able to collaborate with classmates and share their findings while exploring STEM based projects. Inaddition, the STEM materials will support the various type of learners. For example: kinesthetic, audio, visual, and tactile.
Finally, the materials are designed and written at my students grade level and therefore, would make it easier for them to grasp the STEM concepts.
With the help of these STEM materials, my students will be better prepared to meet the challenges of our changing world.
