My Project
We wanted to fundraise through running a community school store.
My students will benefit from the experience and pride of raising funds for this unforgettable experience and the importance of community.
All the proceeds will benefit school events including an annual carnival the students look forward to all year! This activity will make my students feel as if they are more in control of their lives.
Making personalized items such as sweatshirts as a fundraiser gives my students the opportunity to raise money for a field trip and ownership of their accomplishments. It will enable students to work with money and "customers". Learning to work with others and stepping out of the box will not only be a lesson in finance but in social and emotional health.
