Community Service: Snowman Crafts To Donate

Help me give my students a variety of snowman craft kits to donate to a local elder facility.

My Project

My students are kind, caring and compassionate. They are quick to help each other out whenever someone drops something or doesn't know what to do next. Many times 2-3 students volunteer to help their classmates that may have lost something throughout the day like a glove, hat or other personal item.

My students will assemble the snowman crafts in our classroom and donate them to a local elder care facility.

I will make arrangements to deliver the crafts before Christmas. We hope to spread holiday happiness to those that may not have family members nearby. As the holidays approach it can be a lonely time for people that are not living close to family members. My students will be able to serve as surrogate family through this project. We plan to write letters and holiday cards as well to send along with our gifts.
