Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project is to help upgrade our crochet community at school. I usually pass out hooks and yarn to students who want to learn how to crochet. This project will provide me with the resources to personalize bags for yarn, hooks, and notions for individual students. The vinyl will be used to create a special design for their own crochet bags. They will have a special bag that will keep their work safe from their books and food in their backpacks.

Students who are learning to crochet are involved with helping supply hats to our school community. Students who are in need of a hat or ear warmers receive these hand crafted items. It is a pleasure to be able to help teach our students how to crochet just like my grandmother taught me. She also showed me how important it is to share your love and work with others by giving.
