My Project

I love that my students are excited about our class library in our reading room! They continually ask me if I can get certain books and they are always wanting to help manage them! The books in this project show diversity and how anyone, no matter where they come from, can succeed in life. The students love to be inspired by the books they read, and they like to choose their own books. This project allows them to do both! A Community of Readers allows partners to read and discuss. This project allows the students to choose a reading buddy, then those reading buddies choose a book that interests them. They read together helping them with fluency, and then they discuss each chapter using discussion cards. they also write about what they read! This helps the students with comprehension. A win win!
