This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students are ready to start learning about three dimensional clay sculpture! These sculpture materials will support lessons in skeletal anatomy, wire gestural sculpting, and the use of clay. Students have been making art based on the unit questions: "What does community mean to me?" and "Who am I in relation to my community?" Students will work on sculpting specific members in their community. The students in our Art Studio are in the process of learning more about themselves in relation to the world. This project will support their practice of what it means to be in community.
