My Students

I am an Orientation and Mobility Teacher for students that are blind, visually impaired, or dead/blind. My students are brave and never give up on their goals. They travel our sighted world without the luxury of 20/20 vision. A lot of learning goes into traveling their communities and with the right tools, they are up to the task of braving the world of busy streets and transit! So proud of who my students are becoming!

My Project

Students need to be able to review our community lessons so they can learn from their successes and mistakes. I need a high-quality camera and a large screen for them to be able to review our lessons. My current iPad is very old and cannot keep up with what we are doing. We can also use the time they are at home because of COVID to review our in-person recorded lessons virtually. This will be so beneficial since really this type of schooling is better in-person but acceptable when we are able to review our lessons.
