This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Last year was the first time that my class took on a big gardening project. Unfortunately, right before our harvest, there were extreme weather conditions that dried out all of our plants. This year, I want to provide this class with the opportunity to take the garden to new heights!

We will be planting and creating our very own community KinderGarden!

We will start the garden in our classroom and then transfer the plants to an outdoor section. We will encourage members of our community to take what they need or would like to try.

Our students have so much love to give, and I know that being able to give back to the community while learning about plant adaptation, survival, and life cycles will all have a lasting impact on students. I can't wait to get started!
