This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have access to gardening equipment but lack the necessary soil and beds to learn hands-on activities in a garden. Our goal is to create a garden for students and families to come and tend to.
I would love for students to experience hands-on science through gardening to gain experience in activities they may not have tried yet.
The other goal is to get families more engaged in their children’s learning and give families time to bond. Students should be able to experience all different types of science to see which field they love the most!
