My Project

My students will use the items to play dress up with the different community helpers costumes that they see in their community and at school in everyday living. Providing community helper dress-up helps the students see that they are all helping individuals who are doing good for all and all around us and the community. Our goal as teachers is to provide equipment and learning for our students that helps them to be aware of everyday living and about their surrounding helpers in the community. Being in the community and learning about the different helpers in our community teaches our children that the workers are their to help us. The community helpers costumes/clothing will allow our children to explore other types of community helpers that they see daily. Learning about the bakery where cakes and cookies are baked, the artist and the different painting equipment for painters with different colors of paint, the construction workers and having blocks to build different buildings with and the doctor costume to show that all these helpers are here to help and we as teachers are here to help them explore the many
