My Project
This school year is very unique one for my amazing 5th grade scholars. It is on one that will be very memorable. As their mentor and teacher, my goal is to build their Social Emotional Learning at this crucial time because it is needed the most. I would love to engage them in ways that will open new opportunities for them to learn through ways they have not done so before.
One of those ways is spreading love, kindness, and appreciation through positive, kind acts.
Encouraging kindness and resilience during this crucial time will help promote a positive environment in our classroom and throughout and the community. In our classroom, we start with daily affirmations and we say kind words to our peers. By doing this, we are ensuring that our students have a positive mindset to prepare them for their lessons so they can achieve success.
This Cricut Mug Press Machine will be used to allow students to design and share their positive affirmations as part of a community service project. The purpose of this project is to promote social and emotional learning and to bring change through small acts of kindness. Students will also receive personalized gifts from the teacher for excelling in this activity.
