Our beautiful computer lab at PHE has MacBook computers that are essential for learning, but they're unprotected and easily damaged. We need sturdy cases to ensure our students can consistently use these tools for coding, presentations, and research, preventing costly repairs and learning interruptions. These cases will directly support hands-on learning and build vital 21st-century skills.
Our goal is to create a secure tech environment where every student can succeed.
Our students are bright and resilient, and many have limited access to technology outside of school. By protecting our computers, we’re providing crucial opportunities to bridge the digital divide and empower them to become confident, creative, and capable contributors to our community. This project is an investment in their future.
Our computers are the cornerstone of our technology-driven curriculum. Students dive into the world of coding using platforms like Code.org and Kodable, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. They collaborate seamlessly using Google G Suite, creating presentations, slideshows, and sharing documents, mirroring real-world workplace practices. We also utilize the computers to explore diverse STEM career paths through virtual field trips, exposing students to potential future professions. Crucially, we dedicate time to digital citizenship and online safety, teaching them how to navigate the internet responsibly, identify misinformation, and protect their personal information, equipping them with the essential skills to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
