This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Having the classroom carpet will provide a designated space for my kiddos to gather. The carpet will be the center of our class. The place that we go when it’s time to learn something new.
The carpet is not only where my students will learn during mini-lessons, phonics, reading, math but will essentially be where they learn how to become productive, caring, respectful citizens.
Having a carpet in the classroom helps to create an environment where the kids love and enjoy being in. They are with me sometimes more than they are with their parents. I want them to feel like this is truly their home away from home.
