Students at our Elementary School are part of a close knit community of learners. As our school grows so does each students' desire to make their school a special place to learn and grow. As a school, I as the art teacher, will work with students to help them organize their ideas to create a collaborative permanent art piece that will be utilized by all students in the many years to come. The materials I am asking for (sketchbooks) will help students brainstorm together to generate ideas for this school-wide art project. The paints and canvas I am asking for will be used to create a painting series to be hung in our school. This collaboration will solidify the importance of our school community, teamwork, and make our school a more beautiful place.
