My students are creative and talented students who are passionate about the arts. As a teacher, I aim to use that passion to help them understand and discover the world through science.
All of my students seek to understand the world on a deeper level to be able to translate that understanding into their art.
We will be conducting hands-on investigations inside and outside of the classroom. The students will be learning how to ask questions, observe changes, analyze their observations, find patterns, evaluate, and reflect on the results.
My Project
Escape rooms are live, interactive, adventure games in which participants must team up to solve a series of riddles, puzzles, and challenges in order to win. Escape rooms excite learners and help develop their skills, teaching them content through immersive, engaging play. This requires students to work collaboratively with partners or in groups, which is a great way to work on problem solving skills.
This year's focus is on science communication.
Escape rooms helps to promote reading, writing, speaking and listening in a fun and engaging way.
I have found a few physics escape room lessons on Teachers Pay Teachers align with Next Generation Science Standards, plus all of the materials (like locks, boxes and black lights) needed to successfully pull off a few escape rooms this year.
