Communication! Learning Can Look Different!

Help me give my students some quality items to help them build literacy (Lakeshore alphabet tubs) and social skills.

My Project

I teach special education preschool, I love being part of my students journey in early communication. I work with children ages 2.5-5 years old. Many of them come to me with low, sometimes no communication.

These items, specifically the alphabet learning tubs will give me opportunities to increase vocabulary.

We work with the children in a variety of ways and the musical instruments allow them to practice receptive language skills when we talk about tapping the sticks in different ways.

Currently, we do not have any tactile alphabet items that help to build vocabulary. My students learn best when they can interact with learning materials. Communication is key in early learning and something all of our students are working on. We practice with them in a variety of ways. Our end goal is for every child to be communicative and often that communication can come in a variety of ways.
