My Students
My students receive speech and language services and are working on meeting individualized goals to help with their communication needs. They are always eager to learn using highly engaging activities. These students come from a Title I Elementary School where materials and resources to help these students succeed at meeting their individualized goals are very limited.
The caseload consists of over 60 students who receive speech-language therapy services.
I know each of my students has a desire to learn and succeed when it comes to their communication goals, I just have to provide them with the best materials and resources to do so. I always encourage my students to learn and explore while working on their communication skills and believe that they would highly benefit from new materials.
My Project
These materials will ensure that students will be working towards mastery of their individualized speech-language goals. These materials are highly engaging and will be of great benefit to my students. They will provide new learning experiences for all students on the caseload.
Materials chosen for this project will help my students succeed by providing them the opportunity to learn, explore, and use their communication skills effectively.
We will be learning how to sequence and retell short stories, build vocabulary, answer wh-questions, and a variety of other language skills. Through strengthening these skills in my students, I can help to create a foundation that will give them the opportunity to be successful, life-long communicators.
