Help me give my students communication book to increase communication skills. The communication book will help them request for preferred items and make comments about their environment.
My students are unique learners in more ways than one and they learn in different ways. Some of them are more independent while some need that extra support to participate in classroom activities.
My students have different goals that they are working on.
Some are learning to communicate appropriately while others are learning academic skills. Some of them can easily be engaged while others need more motivating materials for them to join in classroom activities. Despite the challenges they have, one can see that they try their very best each and every day.
My Project
Most of my students are non-verbal or have limited communication skills. They have difficulty communicating their needs and wants.
The materials in this projects will help me make communication books for my students so I can teach them how to communicate using pictures.
The communication books will be sent to their homes and can be used with parents as we continue with distance learning. I will teach my students and guide the parents on how to use them to request for preferred food and other items. Once school opens, these communication books will also be used at school to help my students navigate school environment.
