My Students
2+2 is 4! Kindergartners are so excited when they learn their first addition problem, count to 100 for the first time, and when they finally "get" math. My students love math! With the change to the Common Core Standards, we are lacking in materials that support these new standards.
My students are an energetic and eager to learn group of 27 Kindergartners.
They love to learn and are always excited to try new things. Our school has resources, but not enough to support the new Common Core Standards. Many student math experiences are paper and pencil. My students need these games and activities so that they can independently practice and reinforce the new math concepts they are learning.
My Project
My students need math resources including Meet the Common Core Math Standards Learning Center and an Early Math Folder Game Library PreK to Grade 1, to help increase their problem solving and math skills. These math materials will help my students to master the Common Core standards. They will be able to use these games and activities at math centers to practice and reinforce their skills. These materials cover all the Common Core Standards so the students will gain a good understanding of each concept. After teaching the concept, the students will practice with these materials during centers. There is an increasing demand on young students to master new math concepts. My students need these materials in order to help them master the concept. Because these are games and activities my students will be excited to practice their skills! Kindergarten is the foundation on which the rest of their school years are built. Their success begins in Kindergarten.
Math is so important!
By inspiring and motivating my students to practice their math skills with these materials, my students will build important skills that they will build on for the rest of their school days. We will really use these materials to help support their education and learning. They will have a positive impact on my students and will make a difference in the most important times in their lives.
