My Students

We hope to have all of the materials necessary to implement the literacy-rich Language Arts Common Core for our 5th grade.

Our school supports 3 distinct populations of students: our neighborhood, our dual-language immersion and our accelerated.

It is important for all of these groups to receive instruction from the Language Arts Common Core. These populations are present in all grades 1-5.

My Project

These materials will make it possible for all of our 5th grade students to have a more literacy-rich environment. They help extend language into all areas of the curriculum, even throughout the sciences and social studies. Our school hopes to implement the Language Arts Common Core as soon as possible.

I believe that the focus on informational, as well as literary text throughout the curriculum helps foster a better love and understanding for language.

Also, since language is so prevalent throughout our daily lives and everyday exchanges, it is imperative that students form a good foundation in these primary years.
