Committed to the Common Core, Part Two

My students need 39 various literary and informational texts to support their lessons in the newly adopted Language Arts Common Core for 5th grade.

My Students

Our district is implementing the new Language Arts Common Core. Our biggest challenge is finding the ability to provide all of the informational and literary texts required.

My students are a wonderfully creative bunch.

They enjoy learning and experiencing new things. I appreciate how much they are willing to take on in order to achieve the goals they set for themselves. We work on setting a high bar for ourselves and push each other to be our very best.

My Project

The resources we are requesting would give us a wonderful springboard into adopting the new Language Arts Common Core. I am inspired by my students every day, and with every new school year to find ways to challenge them. Since each group is different, I need a variety of ways to reach them and facilitate that love of language and learning.

This project is so very important because it will meet the needs of my current class and serve the many classes that will use these materials in the future.

All of the materials in this project are reusable and can impact the lives of all of the fifth grade students at our school.
