My Students
The students at my school are excited to learn! We have a total of about 560 students at our school. We are a Title I school, so the majority of students come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The students come from an assortment of cultures and backgrounds, with some participating in a bilingual program at our school.
My students can become lifelong learners through meaningful conversations, engaging books, and exciting projects.
We use lots of hands-on, interactive activities to help our students stay engaged.
My Project
It's not often that I have a group of kids who ask to come to school early. I was blown away when a group of my reluctant readers asked me if they could form a comic book club at school.
They don't want to just read comics, they want to design and write them!
I want this to be a reality to them! I need supplies to help bring this club to life at my school. If my students are willing to come early, I will be there for them! Who knows, maybe one of them will be the next Dav Pilkey or Reina Talgemeier!
