This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach an amazing group of fifth graders. My students show up every day with a passion and drive to learn. They love to read and are excellent mathematicians!

Their enthusiasm about school and learning inspires me to be the best teacher I can be.

They are a unique group of students with individual needs and talents that I try to address on a daily basis. I am lucky to be able to work with such creative, ambitious, and hard-working students!

My Project

Kids love to read graphic novels and comic books! Put a text in the form of a comic book and you can get them to read just about anything!

These books will not only introduce great storytelling traditions from around the world but will allow students to make meaning out of reading with the help of visual aids.

It may be the best way to make some of my struggling students lifelong readers. I want my students to know how to read for pleasure and information!

Your donation to this project will help students become better readers and will be appreciated by many kids for years to come!
