Comic Books for Kindergarteners!

Help me give my students variety in their independent reading choices! I work hard to instill a love of learning for each of my students, and access to fun, engaging texts is one of the best ways!

My Project

This school year, I am blessed with an extremely academically diverse, wonderful, and hilarious group of students. A class favorite activity is independent reading; we use picture books and magazines in the class each day to practice reading and to become comfortable with text on a page.

My students prefer reading books to using their computers.

This is a wonderful problem to have and I'd like to diversify the classroom library choices by adding in some comic books. Comic books and graphic novels are a great introduction to reading for struggling students and provide great practice for more proficient readers.
