My Students

As a teacher at a low-income, very diverse school, our students come in with a wide variety of needs. As a special educator in this setting, we not only try to meet the social/emotion needs, but also their education needs as small or large as they may be.

These students have wonderful potential, and may just need a little assistance to reach that potential.

While many of them have difficulty seeing their own abilities at a young age, we try to put various supports in place to help them achieve and see their own strengths. I hope to continue inspiring these students to reach for their goals.

My Project

I work with students in grades K-5 who have a variety of needs. We currently have the tables for them to work on, but only one size and type of seating. My students are all different sizes, and we need seating to fit them all! Many of my students have learning differences and their behaviors and wiggling lead them to being unfocused and missing out on the important information during short sessions. The wobble stools will help these students to be able to wiggle and wobble to help stayed focused and limit distractions to the other students in the group.
