This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year our school has adopted a new reading program. Each student is given a book bag which they get too choose their own books to read. They are given 20 minutes of reading each day. Having a library full of books that target reading skills is essential. In addition to reading, they also work on building words on whiteboards. Having new whiteboards that are not scratched or chipped would be great. Also, I want to create an environment that allows them the flexibility to read comfortably in the classroom. Having the flexible chairs allows this to happen.
