Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
When students go the library to read, there is limited seating with the bean bags. A comfy sofa will give my students more room to curl up with a book. I'm looking forward to pairing it with a soft bulb lamp, rug and fairy lights.
A warm comforting environment will entice students to read.
Join me in providing my students a model of what it looks like to enjoy your favorite book. We also need dry erase markers and multiplication bingo to help students with math.
Our student demographics are roughly 40% homeless and 75% extreme poverty. We are located one block from Los Angeles' Skid Row.
