This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Coming out of covid has been hard socially on students. I want them to reconnect, sit comfortably, and close to one another when sharing books. Fostering a sense of community of learners and giving them options of siting in their seats, on the rug, or on a cozy couch would be amazing! There is nothing better than curling up with a good book, but that is often hard to do in school. When I say, "Off you go!" after the mini lesson, I'm sure a soft couch will be welcomed!
