Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have chosen engaging books that my class has expressed interest in reading. If they can fall in love with a book, they will fall in love with reading. Fantasy books and comic books allow students to dive into a story and do not feel so overwhelmed by the content.

They need comfortable seating so the discomfort of plastic chairs does not distract them from engaging with the story in front of them.

I would like for the students to develop book clubs within the classroom, and discuss similar themes or characters that they found In their books. This gets them more interested in the content and inclined to be more involved if they're with a group of friends.
