My Students
My students are passionate artists and select one of six majors (Dance, Drama, Technical Theatre, Visual Arts, Instrumental Music, Vocal Music) and study that major every day for four years while also taking a full academic schedule of core content classes.
The Black Box Theatre Classroom is their main creative laboratory--for acting.

My students are hard-working, outspoken, passionate, and wildly talented. Many come from financially challenged backgrounds and have to juggle child care and jobs while also maintaining rehearsals and GPAs. Please help them have a positive virtual experience in a year when all things will be different than what they expected. "Oh brave new world!"
My Project
Drama students dreamed of a play reading and writing area in our Black Box Theatre. This would be a place where they can brainstorm plots, read famous works and listen to music to inspire them.
We recently renovated our Black Box Theatre with the help of our students' sketches and needs.
The students dreamed up a comfy play reading/writing nook, where they could sit and read a play, listen to music or work on their playwriting in a private, comfy area.
This bean bag chair and computer desk will allow for many different configurations according to student s' individual needs.
