My Project

Hello, I am a first-year teacher in the Severe and Profound Special Education Classroom. My students respond best through sensory based learning. The laminator will be utilized to provide my students with assignments that can be reused daily and allow the students to touch and feel without damaging the paper. The Velcro strips allows placements along a Velcro wall so that it is at eye level for the students to utilize, also can be used on the laminated sheets to move answers around. Floor mats and items for seating allows my students who like to move around a little more to feel more comfortable in a position that is more relaxing to their sensory needs and allows them to be more attentive. Different students have different developmental needs, with the variety of the manipulatives, it will allow my students to learn and comprehend the information while strengthening their motor skills.
